A project that started in 2018, NDC had the privilege of lending our expertise to enhance the accessibility and beauty of Baltimore City Schools’ Great Kids Farm. In 202 we joined their ribbon cutting!

Through the generous support of Baltimore City community development block grants, we were able to contribute to the creation of a network of pathways that promote access to the farm’s wooded areas and its picturesque stream, including ADA-accessible paths.

The landscape architect volunteer on the project back in 2018, Julie Soss was at the ribbon cutting and shared her experience from the initial brainstorming sessions to witnessing the fruition of the community’s vision.

She emphasized the dedication and collaborative spirit that fueled every step of the process, from countless meetings with the Great Kids Farm team to even bringing her daughter along to soak in the inspiration!

The result? A breathtaking space that not only fulfills the vision of FGKF but also leaves a lasting impact on the community.

”When you dream big, it takes a lot of work, and it takes a lot of effort and a village. But the outcome is amazing.”
