Eastpines Community Center

We recently worked with the Eastpines Community Center, a hub in East Riverdale, Md. The community center serves local nonprofit organizations, residents, and visitors and is a place for gathering, learning, recreation, and more.

We were asked to support the Eastpines Community Association in creating a plan for short-term building and community space landscape improvements. As the design process unfolded, the team began to consider short- and long-term design improvements, allowing the Eastpines community to start engagement immediately to address immediate needs while also planning for the future.

The community hopes to create a safer and more welcoming experience for visitors, along with more community educational opportunities and healthy outdoor activity spaces. As a culturally diverse area, the Eastpines community would also like to see representations of its different cultures and diversity through art and performance.
