IMPACT Request for Proposals: Deadline September 3
Funding is available for a site-specific, public space installation this fall for a high-visibility site in North Brentwood, Maryland.
Proposals should explore how public space can be re-imagined and activated in engaging ways while investigating a dialogue between design practice and contemporary art.
Cross-disciplinary teams or pairs of artist/designers are encouraged to submit their concepts.
What happens if we cross-pollinate between creative fields? Unusual collaborations could include:
landscape architect + sculptor = living sculpture
architect + social practitioner = bus stop mini lounge
industrial designer + sound artist = echo chamber play structure
performance artist + fashion designer = velcro suit dance party
This call for proposals is intentionally open to accommodate the potential range found in contemporary place-making and tactical urbanism projects.
