The Design for Distancing(D4D) program has truly impacted businesses and residents in Baltimore City in a positive way as they seek to impart social distancing practices in a safe and healthy way. At last week’s Park Heights D4D installation, Sister Israel, a resident, shared the importance of this project for her and her neighbors.
Sister Israel shared that residents want to, “draw a special interest to the area. So that when people go to the Pimlico Race Track for the Preakness, they see something new, different, and beautiful.” The beautification of this area gives residents a sense of pride in their community.
We want to thank artist Whitney Frazier for sharing her talents, along with our partners Ruppert Landscaping, Pimlico Merchants Association, and the Baltimore Development Corporation for working with us to make this project a success and bring joy to Park Heights residents like Sister Israel.
