We invite individuals and groups working in community development, design, art, planning, advocacy, or any field that intersects with placemaking to submit ideas in one of the following formats:
Workshop – Interactive session that engages participants in hands-on learning, skill-building, or collaborative problem-solving.
Quick Talk – Concise, high-energy presentation (5 minutes) that spotlights innovative ideas, success stories, or key lessons learned.
Guided Community Walk* – On-the-ground explorations of local placemaking initiatives, offering firsthand insights into community-driven projects. (*Note that community walks must be located in Mt Rainier, within walking distance of Joe’s Movement Emporium)
Interdisciplinary panels featuring perspectives from community advocates, practitioners, funders, designers, artists, and regional leaders.
Have you completed a placemaking project that you are willing to share as a case study? We invite you to submit key findings from your project to help others learn from your work.
To apply, review the poster PDF, and then submit your proposed content to the form linked below. (Please note that each form field corresponds to the content areas outlined in the poster template.)
If accepted, NDC will format your proposal to be exhibited at The Vision is Yours forum, and additional venues following the event. We encourage all submissions to highlight this year’s forum themes
Are you working on an emerging project that would benefit from support from placemaking professionals and the design community? Submit a project to be considered for use in an NDC-hosted project development workshop, where attendees will co-create a framework to articulate the impact and value of your project, overcome challenges, and position your project for success.
