Goodwin Park is the largest recreational park in Seat Pleasant, Maryland. The Neighborhood Design Center partnered with the City to re-imagine this space into a cultural landmark.
Waller Gallery was formed in 2017 by Joy Davis, a curator and scholar. Through NDC’s Arts Space Technical Assistance Program, we collaborated with Joy in creating a concept to improve accessibility, visibility, and lighting for the gallery.
We helped visualize required renovations for this funeral home turned arts space, featuring studios, offices, and a bar/gallery on the first floor.
For this neighborhood lacking adequate shade or defined spaces, we developed a master plan and implementation strategy for amenities and landscape improvements.
