Trash Dash 2026 Cleanup Supports Community Design Work

On Saturday, May 16, over 78 people showed up to our annual Trash Dash cleanup competition at Middle Branch Park in Baltimore, MD.

At the Neighborhood Design Center, we’re committed to protecting our local parks. Together, we collected 75 bags of trash along the Patapsco River!

Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and spent their morning cleaning up trash and debris along the fishing piers, walking paths, and picnic areas at this beloved waterfront park.

Together, you helped raise over $9.7K for NDC’s community design work in Baltimore City.

Across Baltimore, residents have ideas for their neighborhoods - better parks, safer blocks, and more usable public spaces. But too often, local groups lack the design and planning resources to make neighborhood visions a reality.

Together, we can close that gap.

NDC’s Community Design Works program provides pro-bono design and planning services to neighborhoods that wouldn’t otherwise have access to them.

The Trash Dash is how we fund it.

Whether you participated in this year’s Trash Dash or not, it’s not too late to make a contribution! Our goal is to raise $12,000 and we’re 81% there. Will you help us cross the finish line?
