The 2022 Growing Green with Pride Day Was a Huge Success!

We’re always honored to be a partner in Prince George’s County’s Beautification Initiative: Growing Green with Pride. This fall, we worked with schools, municipalities and neighborhoods throughout Prince George’s County to beautify their community green spaces with native perennials, shrubs and trees all provided by the County!

The 2022 Growing Green with Pride Day was a huge success! Based on NDC’s landscape designs, residents planted hundreds of trees, shrubs, and perennials provided by Prince George’s County.
Laura Robinson, our Landscape Design Program Manager, laid out the vision for 162 trees, 209 shrubs, and more.

(Side note: We always try to select deer tolerant species as deer can be found munching on plants just about anywhere in the County.)

Who can help with neighborhood landscaping? Here are the best plants for Maryland. Best evergreen trees and shrubs. Great perennials. Summersweet, Fragrant Sumac, Inkberry, Creeping Phlox, Coneflowers.
