This project is part of the Treating & Teaching initiative led by Clean Water Partnership in collaboration with Prince George’s County Public Schools and supported by environmental partners like Anacostia Watershed Society and Low Impact Development Center.
The Treating & Teaching program also provides teachers and maintenance staff with the tools and resources necessary to build curriculum around the installed devices and the proper techniques for aesthetic maintenance.
Together, these partners are turning school grounds into living classrooms that treat stormwater, improve water quality, and leave an educational legacy for students and teachers.
We’re glad to have supported the design of this space and can’t wait to see it being used in the Spring!
