How to Make an Impact This Giving Season

What is Giving Season?

While Giving Tuesday is only a single day dedicated to radical generosity (psst it’s on November 28th this year), it’s also the official kickoff to giving season — the time of year to give back to your community.

From volunteering your time and skills on a neighborhood project to making a charitable donation to an organization that aligns with your values, there are countless ways to make a difference before the end of the year!

Why support the Neighborhood Design Center?

The Neighborhood Design Center was founded in 1968 to help communities create the places they want to live by providing the tools, expertise, and partnerships necessary to realize neighborhood visions.

At NDC, we understand that a community’s built environment is shaped by the collective vision of its community members. That’s why we’re committed to providing the support necessary to turn these visions into reality.

If you share our belief in the power of community engagement, we ask you to consider supporting NDC.

The impact of your contribution extends far beyond this season of giving —  it has a lasting effect on the lives of those we serve.

Last year, you helped raise over $23,000!

What impact will my contribution have?

Your generous support has allowed us to expand our organization and support the growth of safe, healthy, and equitable neighborhoods in Baltimore City and Prince George’s County. Your support makes a real difference, and we want to express our sincere appreciation. From all of us at NDC, thank YOU!

How can I join the community-led design movement?

This giving season, we’re asking you to show up, give back, and help make a difference because the community is YOURS. You have the power to make professional design and planning services available to those that need them most.

1. Make a donation

Give the gift of community-led design to disinvested neighborhoods in Baltimore City and Prince George’s County at ndc.org/donate and be part of the change.

2. Contribute to our Facebook or Instagram fundraiser

In just a few clicks, you can make a donation directly on social media and even share the fundraiser to your story, profile, or feed.

3. Spread the word

Do you know someone who is also passionate about improving our public spaces? Tell them about our mission!

4. Share our social posts and emails with your friends

Whether it’s through giving $5 or taking 5 minutes to re-share a social media post or forward an email, every little bit helps.

P.S. Don’t miss out!

Make sure to stay connected with us on social media and subscribe to our email list. You’ll receive more information on how to support the Neighborhood Design Center during this season of giving
