Helping to Revitalize Homes Through Design

NDC loves being part of projects that help revitalize homes and communities!

We had the opportunity to partner with Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) to create a visual catalog showcasing potential home improvements funded by the Neighbor Nextdoor grant. This resource helped homeowners visualize and prioritize enhancements, contributing to overall block improvements.

With designs from NDC and implementation by local developer Sheri Mitchell of SheriVision, grant recipients saw tangible upgrades, including screened-in porches, new windows, siding, and repaved walkways and steps.

Maria Smaldone of NHS noted, “We successfully completed six exterior home repairs through the Neighbor Nextdoor program. Thank you for helping us develop the design template for this initiative.”

These local residential façade improvement programs have real transformative power. Great visuals can increase participation and help residents select and prioritize the most important enhancements. NDC is proud to support them through partnerships with CDCs and housing organizations.
