Board Member Feature: Randy Sovich

Slide 1 of 6

Our board members are pretty awesome and are working on industry-leading projects, but what’s even more awesome is when we get to work on those projects with them!

Our board member, Randy Sovich, FAIA, LEED® AP, is working on two projects NDC supported with landscape design plans.

The first is Hope Village Housing, a permanent housing development for extremely low-income people in Baltimore City, which garnered his team AIA awards from the Baltimore AIA and AIA Maryland for their work.

The AIA Baltimore Awards’ Jury stated:

“The jury appreciated the modesty inherent in Hope Village’s small independent units that maximize existing platting. With attention to landscape plantings, Hope Village makes clear that the outdoor experience is as important as the indoor experience. Hope Village is a fun, sweet, and heartfelt design.”

The second project is The Tuerk House, a newly underway outdoor therapeutic and recreational space for a residential drug treatment facility. Construction will begin this fall.
