In Gratitude: Jennifer Goold

Jennifer Goold, our director for nearly a decade, set aside time to share her NDC story. The Columbia University alumna remarked, “I am a mission-driven person and NDC is a place where I get to share myself and my abilities in community and build energy and investment in people and places that matter.” She is an adamant giver who added, “The people I get to work with through NDC elevate whatever I invest, so it’s a joy to give.”

Jen’s work within the community, and in the realm of historic preservation began well before her time at NDC. Prior to joining us, she oversaw designation of historic landmarks for the City of Boston, prepared successful National Register of Historic Places nominations for Baltimore properties, and was a part of the team that prepared and managed Historic and Heritage Preservation Tax Credit applications worth $30million in City, State, and Federal tax credits for many of Maryland’s largest reuse projects. From 2006-2009 she was development director at Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse in Baltimore, MD. During her time there, she planned and managed design and construction of Overlook Clipper Mill. Her involvement in the project led to her winning the following awards — 2008 AIA Award, Baltimore Business Journal Green Business Award, and National Association of Homebuilders Green Home Award — a testament to her commitment to the work!

Jennifer, we are so fortunate to have an experienced leader that is as passionate and generous as you. Thanks for all you do to improve the built environment in Baltimore City, Prince George’s County and beyond!
